When your neighborhood gives you lemons, make lemonade! And have fun and
learn lots about how business really works at the same time!
The game of Lemonville™ takes place in a small town called -- you guessed it --
Lemonville™. The town has a baseball field, a school, a professional park (where
people like barbers work), a shopping mall, and a neighborhood. All of these are
excellent locations for lemonade stands!
Players may put lemonade stands at one or more of these locations. The mayor charges
$1 rent for each stand, each day. Each day, you decide how much lemonade to make,
and how much to charge, at each stand.
How much lemonade should you make? Well, that depends on two important things.
First, the warmer the weather, the more lemonade people buy. Second, if your
lemonade stand is at the same location as a Special Event, you'll have more
potential customers.
How much should you charge for each cup of lemonade? Well, the less you charge, the
more you will likely sell, but of course you'll make less money per cup. The more you charge,
the fewer customers you'll have, but you'll make more money per cup. If you have the
only cart at a location, you can charge what you like. But if other players have
carts at a location where you have a cart, watch out! People always buy lemonade from
the cheapest stand. If you charge more than another player, you'll only get a chance to
sell to those people that didn't buy a cup from the other player.
